The Delta Island

The Island is located in the eastern sea area of Daya Bay of Guangdong, directly to the south of Xunliao Bay, with an area of around one square kilometer. It is China's first legal private island and China's first island resort developed and utilized according to the "Maldivian style". It is mainly engaged in water sports, leisure resort and real estate, as well as a diving center for the General Administration of Sport of China and International Marine Diving Association. The General Administration of Sport of China has cooperated with Shenzhen International Wave-rider Co., Ltd. to establish the Delta Island Club. Luxury villas, member club, conference center, Chinese and Western restaurants, seawater bathing place, beach bathing place, diving sports, beach soccer and ecological island are built here, making it a tourist attraction with the most complete facilities in the Xunliao Binhai Tourist Resort. Pinghai Ancient City

Pinghai Ancient City is 53 km from the southeast of Pingshan, Huidong County and was built in the 18th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1385 AD), with a history of more than six hundred years so far. It has always been a coastal defense and military town and the throat of sea import and export in southern Huizhou. Known as a "land of fish and rice", Pinghai Ancient City has such landscapes as the Pinghai Ancient Stone Bridge, the Ancient Cross-shaped Street, and the Seven Star Well (seven ancient wells).

Double-Moon Bay

Double-Moon Bay is located in Pinghai County, Huidong Town, Huizhou City, at the south tip of Renping Peninsula, at the east longitude of 114°53' to 114°56' and the north latitude of 22°32' to 22°34', with Red Bay on the east, Daya Bay on the west, the vast South China Sea on the south and Pinghai Town on the north. Double-Moon Bay is located in Gangkou County of Huidong Town, namely, the Gangkou Binhai Tourism Resort. Double-Moon Bay is divided into two bays, the left bay is quiet as the mirror and the right bay has roaring waves. The beach stretches for 20 kilometers long and is grand and magnificent, with few signs of manual development. The beach is about 200 meters wide. The seawater is crystal clear and the sea floor is flat and smooth. One can even stand in the sea 200 meters offshore, making it especially extraordinary.

Gangkou Turtle Nature Reserve

Sea turtle is the general name of marine turtles, which is the only species living in the sea among all tortoise and trionyx sinensis species. It is widely distributed in the global sea area except the Arctic Ocean. The sea turtle has a flat-streamline-shaped shell on the back and the patterns on the shell are more complicated than common land tortoises or river turtles. The sea turtle's feet have evolved into the shape of paddles for long distance swimming.

The sea turtle evolution history is quite long and can be traced to the Cretaceous Period of seventy-five million years ago, when the sea turtles were carnivorous and this kind of sea turtles is called the ancient sea turtles. According to the findings of the archaeological fossil in North America, the size of ancient sea turtles was quite amazing, as long as 3.5 meters, about the size of a car. The outer shell has clear osteocomma-shaped patterns.

There are 2 families, 6 genera and 7 species of sea turtles in the world and these two families are Cheloniidae and Dermochelyidae, respectively. Sea turtles like tropical and temperate shallow sea waters, breathe with lungs, and must return to the land for spawning. The staple food of different sea turtles is not the same. Most sea turtles are migratory, which means they will return to the spawning habitat from the foraging habitat in the breeding season, and around 95% of them will return to the original birthplace to mate and lay eggs.

Tianhou Palace

Tianhou Palace is a place to worship the Chinese sea goddess Mazu and was established in the Ming dynasty. The current Tianhou Palace was rebuilt on the former site. It is a leisure, culture and tourist attraction which combines tour and sightseeing, catering and shopping, and folk custom experience together, with a floor area of about 55,120 square meters and a construction area of about 28,882 square meters, mainly including the praying area of Tianhou Palace, riverside bar blocks, featured shopping and catering blocks, performing arts plaza and other supporting facilities. Located in the central of the commercial street, Tianhou Palace is the place to worship the “Chinese sea goddess" and Queen of Heaven Mazu. The Queen of Heaven Mazu, Zhenwu Tati, Guanyin of the South China Sea and other Buddha statues are consecrated in the main hall, where tourists can pray and make wishes.
